Hi everyone!
Here are some notes from class last night:
We covered hair: real and not; setting, styling and creating
Some highlights:
- Using ceramic rollers, hot rollers allows you to create a variety of looks and if nothing else, gives you a great base with which to start
- Roll away from the face for most looks and styles
- Using plastic clips will avoid putting dents or wrinkles in your hair when rolling
- Using a teasing comb, you can split your hair into sections to make it easier to work with
- You can also split hair into smaller sections and, rolling around 2 fingers then rolling into a loop and clip using a flat duckbill clip
Wigs:
- It's nice to use wigs to avoid the work behind hair styling
- Wig caps are not required but might make it easier to hold back longer hair or to secure the wig to your head
- Bump up a wig top by putting old pantyhose, tulle or grocery bags in the cap before putting it on... whee! Bouffant!
- Buy cheap wigs and play with them (then you aren't worried about destroying them)
NEXT WEEK:
Tuesday, November 1: Makeup for Photos & Stage
Please bring all the makeup you have, foundations etc. If you do not have a lot of make please do not go out and buy any yet, we will let you know what you should get for the stage. The first hour will be focusing on photo makeup, lashes and colors and the second hour will be Meghan and Zora working together to show you how to accentuate for the stage.
